Mission

To Design, Fabricate and Launch a Student Satellite with a Novel Payload following the CubeSat standards, providing a platform for students to experience real time implementation challenges and learn the technical implications of launching and operating a satellite.

Vision

To provide an atmosphere for undergraduate students to discover their potential in Space applications and network with like minded people from all engineering backgrounds towards building a stronger and diverse community of Space explorers.

Satellite Mission Progress

Phase 1

The mission started with choosing a problem statement for the Satellite and understanding the process of Space Mission Analysis and Design.
With guidance from NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the team was structured into 6 subsystems from Attitude Determination and Control Subsystem to Payload Subsystem.

Phase 2

Following the division of Subsystems, the team explored the world of CubeSats and past student satellite missions to dive deeper into designing respective subsystems following Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and operations.

Phase 3

Payload of the Satellite finalized with a Preliminary Design Review (PDR) document of the satellite submitted to technical advisors at Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) for feedback and approval.

Phase 4

With approval of the PDR, the work began towards the Baseline Design Review (BDR) document. The BDR was finalized and is on standby for further improvements and technical modifications.
